THE TODDLER RHYTHM
A day with plenty of movement, play and familiar routines.
Toddlers are learning all day long — often while they are moving, talking, trying something again or watching another child. Some days they are eager to try everything. On other days, they need a little more time, reassurance or a cuddle before joining in.
Move freely
Climbing, carrying, dancing, digging and exploring outdoors help toddlers build physical confidence and learn what their bodies can do.
Make ideas real
Paint, clay, loose parts, water, sand and everyday materials give children many ways to create, experiment and follow their own ideas.
Connect with others
Teachers make time for conversation, play alongside children and gently support early friendships, turn-taking and language through shared experiences.
Find their calm
Toddlers can feel things strongly, especially when they are tired, frustrated or separating from family. Familiar routines and quiet moments help them pause and begin again.

BIG FEELINGS, STEADY HANDS
Learning to feel it, name it and move through it.
Toddlerhood is a time of rapid change. Children are learning new words, new skills and new ways of being with others — while still needing help when feelings become overwhelming.
Our teachers stay present and calm. We stay close, help children find the words they need and guide them through the moment in a calm, consistent way. Rather than expecting toddlers to manage everything alone, we give them the support and time to grow into their confidence.
ROOM TO TRY
A space designed for capable little people.
The Toddler Room is set up so children can take part in their own day: choosing where to play, reaching materials, helping with routines, caring for their environment and returning to experiences that interest them.
It is a room with space for movement and noise, as well as cosy places to read, talk or take a breath. Materials are kept within reach, so children can return to activities they enjoy, use things in their own way and try again later.

Choosing what to explore.
Learning alongside one another.
OUTSIDE, EVERY DAY
Space to climb, dig, run and make a mess.
Outdoor time is part of the ordinary rhythm here. Children can move their bodies, play with sand and water, watch the weather change and find their own ways through the space.

LEARNING IN MOTION
Everyday moments become learning moments.
Talking, listening and new words
Teachers listen closely, put words to what children are doing and feeling, and make time for songs, stories and conversation throughout the day.
Trying things for themselves
There are plenty of small chances to practise: putting on shoes, helping at mealtimes, solving a problem or having another go when something feels tricky.
Getting to know other children
Toddlers begin to learn alongside one another through shared play, waiting for a turn, noticing a friend and learning that there is space for everyone.
MEET THE TODDLER ROOM TEAM
Familiar faces make a difference.
For toddlers, trusting the adults around them matters enormously. Our teachers take time to learn each child’s routines, interests, ways of communicating and the small things that help them feel at home.
They are there through the everyday things: settling in at drop-off, joining a game, trying something new and needing comfort after a hard moment.
COME AND SEE
